Aysegul Ekmekci

Aysegul Ekmekci obtained her undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science from the City University of New York – Baruch College. Upon completion of her degree, Aysegul attended London School of Economics and Political Science to get her Master’s degree in International Relations. While attending LSE, she participated in a volunteer project in Ghana which aimed at introducing the microfinance concept to a rural town near Accra. After this experience, Aysegul worked as an intern at the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the United Nations. Thus, to further develop her interest in the non-profit sector, Aysegul worked as a fellow at a progressive non-profit organization called the Agenda Project in New York. Upon her return to Turkey, Aysegul worked as a Project Specialist within the Social Investment Programme for the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey between September 2012 - March 2015. She is currently working as a Policy Officer for Oxfam in Turkey and supports the C20 Turkey Secretariat.
