Heba Ramzy

Heba Ramzy is currently leading Microsoft Middle East and Africa Corporate Affairs. She joined Microsoft in 2003, heading the Corporate Social Investment efforts in the MEA region. During her tenure she has led various roles where she developed the regional community investment and the regional NGO, government and international organization partners’ engagement strategy to help people realize their potential and overcome some of the barriers to effectively use technology to enhance people’s lives. Prior to Microsoft, Heba worked for a number of non-profits in Egypt and the MEA region, focusing on ICT for development. Her dedication to youth development throughout the region initiated a number of programs designed to integrate ICT in learning through her work as the Schools Online MENA Regional Director and the Kids and Youth Programs Director for the Regional Informational Technology and Software Engineering Center (RITSEC). In 1997, Heba embarked on her vision to create the first internationally acclaimed Egyptian children’s gateway Little Horus. In an effort to pursue her dream she expanded her vision and co-founded 21st Century Kids Clubs, technology centres for youth. In recognition of her work, she received a number of national and international awards including an honorary award by Egypt’s First Lady, Cable & Wireless Childnet International Award for Excellence and Microsoft highest award ‘Circle of Excellence’ in 2007. An Eisenhower Fellow, Heba is deeply passionate about the art and science of networking and its delivery in evolving political economic landscapes. She has served on a number of nation and international NGO boards, and since 2012, has been serving on the Eisenhower Fellow President Advisory Council. Heba holds an MSc from the London School of Economics in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems, and a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.
