John James Kirton

John J. Kirton is a professor of political science and the co-director of the G20 Research Group, the Global Health Diplomacy Program and the BRICS Research Group, and director of the G7 Research Group, all based at Trinity College at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto, and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies in Renmin University of China. He is the author of G20 Governance for a Globalized World (2012) and co-author of the Global Leadership on Climate Change: G8, G20 and UN Governance (2015), as well as co-editor of The G8-G20 Relationship in Global Governance (2015). He is also co-editor of a series of “briefing books” published by Newsdesk Media for every G20 and G7 summit.
