Sevim Tekeli

Sevim Tekeli is an urban strategist graduated from Istanbul Technical University and continued to higher education at Polytechnic of Milan University with an international master program (Msc) called Urban Policy Design Program. Her working experience started by participating in local development based urban regeneration consultancy projects during university education as a junior research assistant. In 2008, Ms. Tekeli started to work in Libya as a strategic planning consultant for 3rd Generation Development Program that is subcontracted by National Planning Office. The project consists of social, economic and physical development of Benghazi Region based on functionality model that took part in literature for the first time by proposal of the team. In 2010, Ms. Tekeli got involved in the feasibility study of the first ICT Valley Project of Turkey. In 2011, Ms. Tekeli has transferred to Bogazici University in order to build an interface for university-industry cooperation in the field of life sciences and health technologies. In this respect, Ms. Tekeli has started Inovita Istanbul Cooperation Platform Project for Life Sciences and Technologies with the aim of creating an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem by considering spatial development, business model and legal background (www.inovita.org). Together with Inovita cooperation platform, Mr. Tekeli has been executing Inovita Health Technologies Incubation Center, the first thematic focused incubation center in Turkey, and ultimately ISEK – Istanbul Health Industry Cluster Project by financial and institutional support of various national and international mechanisms (www.i-sek.org).
