Sumru Güler Altuğ

Sumru Altuğ is a Professor of Economics at Koç University where she also directs the KU-TUSIAD Economic Research Forum. She is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London and a member of the Euro Area Business Cycle Network (EABCN). She held chaired professorship at the University of Durham and the University of York between 1999-2002. Prior to this, she held tenure-track and visiting assistant professor positions at Minnesota, Wisconsin, Duke, and Virginia Tech in the U.S. between 1984-1995. She also served as a panel for the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) in the UK between 2001-2003 and was an Associate Editor for the Economic Journal (EJ) between 2000-2003. She holds a BA and MA in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and received her PhD from Carnegie-Mellon.
