Tammy Bender

Tammy Bender is the Communications Manager at the Centre for International Governance Innovation where she is responsible for external and internal corporate communications, including media relations. Prior to CIGI, Tammy worked in various management positions for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, including Intergovernmental and Stakeholder Relations, Strategy Marketing and Outreach, as well as Corporate Communications. Prior to that, she worked in management roles in regulatory affairs and public relations for Canwest Global Communications Corporation (now Postmedia Network Inc.). Tammy is a strategic planning and communications professional with sixteen years diverse public and private sector experience, in media and PR agencies, as well as federal and provincial government, in both political and bureaucratic environments. Tammy specializes in public relations, media relations, stakeholder communications, policy development and government relations.
