Wei Huang

HANG Wei (1976.5-), Senior Research Fellow, supervisor of postgraduate, director of department of Global Governance, executive director of Centre for International Economic and Strategic Studies, Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS); International Financial Issues Advisor for Department of International Affairs, Ministry of Finance; Deputy Secretary General for China Society of Emerging Economies; Research fellow for YUFE Research Institute for Indian Ocean Economies. She got her Ph.D. degree in Financial Engineering from Beihang University (previously known as Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) in 2009. Before she joined CASS, she had 5 years working experience as Lecture in Wuhan University of Science and Technology. She was the visiting scholar for Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research (2009), University of Western Ontario (2010), Hitotsubashi University (2010) and Bruegel (2014). Her recent research involves three fields: 1) Global economic governance. She is focusing on the economic cooperation on the important platform such as G20, BRICS and other multilateral cooperation forum. She provides research support on emerging economies for some international organization, such as Boao forum for Asia. 2) International finance, especially on the issue of medium and long term exchange rate regime, international monetary system and financial structure comparison; 3) other fields: The study of Global Value Chains based on ICIO tables, IO reform, etc.
